The latest version of the markup language.
There have been a couple of major version releases of GRML. When first available in January 2003, the syntax attempted to be easy to read, easy to parse, easy to write, and easy to display. However, it took 2 additional minor versions to sort out the required features and eliminate the limitations.
After more than a year and a half, the second version of GRML was available. It had all the capabilities of the previous version, but using smaller file sizes. It was easier to parse, write, and display than the 1.0 version. And, it had data handling features unavailable in the previous versions. By every measure, 2.0 outdid 1.0.
This is the wikipedia definition of GRML.
